Below are some wishes that we've been proud to have helped make come true!
Local Wish Stories
"I wish to have a puppy!"
Cloey, Age 9
March, 2009
Take a look at this thoughtful note we received from Cloey after she received her Wish in March:
Dear Make A Wish,
Thank you so much for giving me my puppy. She already has her personality coming out. I decided to name her Baby but it is spelled differently. It is spelled B-A-B-E-Y. Anyways how have you been doing. Heard any interesting wishes lately? I have decided that I'm going to bring Babey to school on Monday. Anyway, talk to you later. Sincerely, Cloey
Cloey and Babey have bonded beautifully! What a wonderful wish-come-true!
"I wish to go to Disney!"
Zoe, Age 4
December 2008
To 4-year-old Zoe, trips to clinic were mere breaks from time spent with her animated friends Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. So it came as no surprise that Zoe wished to meet these princesses in-person at their home in Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
With travel itineraries and plane tickets in hand, Zoe and her family left Virginia for the sunny skies of Florida to visit with her fairy tale playmates. During her visit, Zoe became a princess herself and donned a gown fit for magical royalty! Rumor has it that even Cinderella was a little envious of the yellow frock.
Zoe's wish didn't end there. Before her wish was through, she and her family had explored everything Disney World had to offer and toured neighboring Universal Studios and Sea World.
As they left Disney World, Zoe and her family traded in their theme park tickets for lasting memories, which we like to call "taking a little magic for the road."
