Magnus, or also known as Maggie, is a very sweet 18 month old Domestic Short haired Black cat. Maggie was found in the pound and her time was running up as she had been there for almost 2 whole months! She is very easy to take care of as all she wants is someone to keep her safe and to love her forever! Maggie is very affectionate and will lick you while you are petting her as if to say thank you for loving me! She is in a foster home with dogs, other cats, and children and is doing wonderful there! She has no bad habits....well except that she likes to eat the food that the foster's 13 month old son leaves behind in his high chair or that he throws on the floor...but then again, you have a cat that will help clean up!! . Maggie must be kept indoors only as she is front pawed declawed! If you are looking for a sweet, beautiful, young, declawed cat, Magnus is for you! She will be purrfect for any family! This is our very special friend Stevie Wonder. We found this male, approximately one year old, 45 pound, Border Collie \ bully mix in a central VA pound looking very worried and scared. The shelter staff guessed he may have a few behavioral issues, but once we spent a few moments with him we realized he was blind. Stevie was one of those faces we just could not get out of our minds. We found a wonderful temporary foster home, went back to get him and hoped for the best. Man oh man where we silly for worrying about this sweet boy! More here

Wide Clyde

Hi! My name is Wide Clyde and I am a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd Mix boy. And yeah, I am kinda on the large size at over 70 pounds. But I am just a big couch potato who loves to be cuddled and held. My old owner had to give me up but they said I was an inside pet, house-trained, good with kids and NOT good with cats. I've been a little shy at the shelter but am warming up quickly. You gotta couch that needs to be held down? I'm up for the task!
