Words are powerful. They can cut you, heal you, inspire you, and stop you from certain actions. Learning the language of marriage takes time and diligence, but saying some words regularly may cause irreparable damage. Here are five words that are destined to cause damage to your marriage:

1. "Never." "Never" implies a sense of hopelessness and finality. When you use "never," you're telling your spouse that they are no good, will never be any good and that there's no hope for change. It's an all-or-nothing phrase that does not lend itself to listening, compromising and creating good will.

2. "Always." "Always" implies a sense of rigidity and righteousness. When you use "always," you're telling your spouse that they are wrong, you are right, and that there's nothing that can be done about it. It's also an all-or-nothing phrase, and it does not lend itself to understanding, learning, or healing.

3. "But." "But" implies a sense of manipulation and a lack of integrity. When you use "but," you negate whatever was said before. It invalidates your message and turns a positive statement into a negative one. It's a conjunction that does not lend itself to building trust, credibility and intimacy. Similar words to avoid include "however" and "although."

4. "*#%&." Use your imagination and fill in the blank and what you're left with is a vulgar, obscenity-laced attack. Any way you look at it, attacking your spouse by name-calling will cause irreparable damage. Doing this regularly will surely destroy your spouse's soul and kill the marriage. Outright contempt has no place in a marriage.

5. "Divorce." Threatening to divorce, suggesting divorce as an option, or accusing your spouse of destroying the marriage will lead to just that. A divorce is a very serious decision, and using it as a weapon or method of control creates anxiety and despair. It's not conducive for effective communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, or intimacy.

Take the time to think about the impact of your words before you speak to your spouse. Consider what you want to create with the communication. Create a powerful and loving intention rather than one that is meant to hurt, control, scare or push away the person you love. Find words that are conducive to creating intimacy. These might include phrases like, "I notice that when I [blank], you react by [blank]. When you do [blank], I feel [blank]. It would mean a lot to me if you would [blank], because when you do, I feel [blank]." And: "I want our marriage to feel good to both of us. How can we approach things in a way that makes us both feel heard, appreciated, accepted, and loved?"

Barbara Garcia, a resident of Moore, Oklahoma, who survived yesterday's potentially historic tornado, was being interviewed by CBS News about riding out the storm in the bathroom of her former home.

Garcia was holding on to her dog when the winds came, but after the walls fell down the two separated, and she had been unable to locate him since.

Then, in the middle of the interview, little "Toto" suddenly emerged from the rubble, and the two were reunited in the most tearjerking of fashions.

"Well I got God to answer one prayer to let me be okay, but he answered both of them," Garcia said.

On Tuesday, Dancing with the Stars named its season 16 champions. 

At the end of Monday night's episode, Zendaya and an injured Val Chmerkovskiy received perfect 30s for both of their full-length routines, and then tacked on an additional five points to their score for winning the cha cha relay. 

But only one point below the highest scoring pair were Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough, who earned perfect 30s for their routines, which included a dramatic freestyle number that had viewers in tears. They came in second place during the cha cha relay, and scored four extra points. 

Below them were Alexandra Raisman and partner Mark Ballas, followed by Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff.

"This is amazing!" Kellie said, thrilled and hardly able to speak – though she was squealing with delight. 

Zendaya and Val were in second; and Jacoby and Karina were in third. 

"I'm very proud. I'm very happy," Zendaya said. "I get to leave here with an amazing experience, so I'm happy." 

"Out of all my trainers that I've had, I've never had a woman push me like she did," Jacoby said of Karina when he was told he'd landed in third place. 

In the first moments of Tuesday's show, Alexandra and Mark were eliminated in fourth place. "Good luck to you three. I love you guys so much," she said to Kellie, Zendaya and Jacoby. 

The rest of the couples went on to perform their instant dance – and all the couples received perfect scores, which meant that the leaderboard did not change, giving Zendaya a one-point lead over Kellie going into the final results.

Some days, you make more in tips than others.

A woman on Tumblr shared a story about how her waitress mother recently got a $1,000 tip from a customer on a $60 bill.

The rather large gratuity came after the woman told the customer how her family is from Italy and she has studied art history, but has never been able to visit the country.

On the receipt, the man wrote, “Your ticket to Italy. Enjoy!!” What’s more, the man reportedly left the tip and quietly left the restaurant, without making any sort of scene.

The woman’s daughter was impressed with the generous showing, saying, “There are still nice people in the world.” Ciao!

Brian Blake Bienvenu was arrested twice in just over 12 hours — once for driving around naked and the second time for stealing a motorcycle while shirtless, according to arrest reports.

The 24-year-old Delray Beach man's half-day arrest binge began at about 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, when he parked a car near the entrance to the Highland Beach Club and got out buck naked, police said.

A Highland Beach police officer showed up after the security officer watched the nude Bienvenu park his Acura and then try to open the locked gatehouse door. Bienvenu climbed the metal gate and hid in the hedges, an arrest report said.

The officer noted in the arrest report that Bienvenu appeared to be drunk or on drugs — and that he admitted to smoking marijuana.

Bienvenu was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on an indecent exposure charge at 4:51 a.m. and released at 10:50 a.m.

We're all going to be on the edge of our seats during the month of July in anticipation of the royal baby announcement, and as long as we're totally plugged in at all times, it shouldn't take too long for us to hear the news that a little prince or princess has arrived.

Wait for it -- Kate Middleton's baby news will be announced via Twitter, which is definitely a major step into the future as far as royal tradition goes.

Yep. Twitter. How chic.

Ok, so it's no big secret that making a birth announcement via social media is a far cry from how the royals have done things in the past. But for the old-fashioned types, there is a bit of good news. To keep with tradition, a note announcing the baby's arrival will also be posted on the gates at Buckingham Palace.

When Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William back in 1982, his note read, "Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales was safely delivered of a son at 9:03 p.m. today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

And oh yeah, Wills also got 41-gun salutes of royal artillery companies at the Tower of London and Hyde Park, which let the world know the future king had arrived.

For Prince Harry's birth, a crowd gathered outside of St. Mary's Hospital while Diana was in labor. A TV crewman was the first to deliver the news by yelling, "It's a boy!" to the people in the street. (Bet it would've been pretty cool to be there that day.)

And the news of Prince Charles' birth in 1948 was surprisingly trendy for that period in time, as it was broadcast over the radio. Newsreader John Snagge let the people know that Queen(then Princess) Elizabeth "was safely delivered of a prince."

Huh. I wonder how the royals did things even earlier than that? I mean, maybe the first way people found out about a royal birth was by the note left on the Palace gate? Can't you picture people hunkering down in front of that place for days on end anxiously awaiting the news? Or who knows -- maybe there was someone hired to ride by on a horse a few times a day or something "just in case."
